Overview

A thesis management system for Universidad Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho (UGMA), in internal use at the university.

Problem

The university handled thesis approval and publication manually, on paper and over email. Students had no way to search prior work, and coordinators had no visibility into the state of the approval cycle.

Solution

A web platform with two distinct roles:

• Students: search and browse theses by field, author, year and keywords
• Coordinators: manage the full cycle (submission, review, corrections, approval, publication)

Features

• Full-text search with multiple filters
• Approval workflow with states and notifications
• Admin panel for coordinators
• Download of approved documents
• Dashboard with repository statistics and status

Impact

It replaced a process run on paper and over email. Students can now look up graduates’ work on their own, and coordinators can see where each thesis sits in the cycle without chasing the paperwork.

It is deployed internally at the university.
